During a hearing before the National People’s Assembly, Algerian Minister of Industry Farid Kourtal presented proposals included in the 2027 Finance Bill to upgrade and rehabilitate 16 industrial and activity zones across 14 provinces, alongside funding to complete works on 62 industrial zones currently under development. He explained that these measures aim to increase the supply of industrial land and accelerate its allocation to investors, as part of efforts to address the status of 729 industrial and activity zones nationwide. According to the figures presented, 107 zones remain at the study stage or were only recently established, while completion rates vary across the remaining zones, with the development of 103 zones fully completed.
