During a study visit to South Korea from September 20 to 23, an official Uzbek delegation examined the country’s experience in developing and managing special economic zones. The visit was organized at the initiative of the Asian Development Bank with support from the Asia Knowledge Partnership Fund. It included participation in an international seminar and field visits to the Incheon Free Economic Zone and other special economic zones, where the delegation learned about their operating and modernization mechanisms and their role in regional development. The delegation also discussed ways to improve public financial management and strengthen institutional capacity in Uzbekistan.
