During his meeting with Ahmad Jan Bilal, head of the Taliban’s General Directorate of State-Owned Companies, Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov proposed establishing a special economic zone at Hayratan Port in northern Afghanistan, comprising facilities for the storage, production, and packaging of agricultural products. Bilal welcomed the proposal and confirmed that the two sides would work to develop mechanisms for its implementation, thereby strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Afghanistan and Russia.
