The Egyptian-Chinese summit resulted in agreements aimed at expanding economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, including closer alignment between Egypt Vision 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative. Key outcomes included the launch of the third phase of the TEDA Zone expansion in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, paving the way for new projects in renewable energy, automotive manufacturing, textiles, and chemical fibres, alongside continued cooperation in infrastructure, transport, energy, and manufacturing.
The China-Egypt Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, TEDA, is a major platform for joint investment between the two countries. It hosts more than 200 industrial and service companies across a total area of 10 square kilometres, with investments exceeding US$4 billion.
