Egypt’s General Authority for Industrial Development and a high-level Omani delegation, headed by Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousuf, discussed ways to strengthen industrial cooperation and exchange expertise in the development and management of industrial zones. The discussions addressed a proposal to establish two joint industrial zones under the Industrial Developer system, one in Egypt and the other in the Sultanate of Oman. Dr. Nahed Youssef, President of the Authority, stated that Egypt has 26 industrial zones operating under this system, managed by 12 local and international companies, with a total area of approximately 40 million square metres.
