Saudi Arabia participated as the guest of honour at the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT 2026), hosted in the Chinese city of Xiamen from 8 to 11 September 2026. The Saudi pavilion showcased an integrated range of investment opportunities, enablers and incentives across sectors including energy, industry, mining, technology, artificial intelligence, logistics, tourism, the digital economy and financial services, as well as special economic zones, infrastructure and urban development, reflecting the rapid transformation of the Saudi economy under Saudi Vision 2030. This comes amid the growing presence of Chinese companies in the Kingdom, whose number has exceeded 1,900, with dozens establishing regional headquarters there. Chinese investment stock has also reached approximately SAR 40 billion, while bilateral trade between the two countries amounted to nearly USD 115 billion in 2025.
